Not straightforward email: 24/03/2020
Visa Center reopened :29/06/2020
Second straightforward: 17/07/2020

Till now no answer?
28/10/2020 I have emailed them . They said waiting a decision

Am really worried. Is been more than 8 months waiting

Also: once a decision has been made should you receive the refusal email straight away or does it take a few days to send out?

Looking at multiple online comments, you normally get a refusal decision very soon and your passport is returned a few days after the refusal decision (sometimes, the very next day after a refusal decision!).
If you don't get your passport, then it means either they are still taking time to consider your case or that they have already made a decision and they are just waiting to give back your passport to you.
I would highly suggest you to send UKVI an email using the online paid enquiry service so that you can at least know whether a decision has been made or whether they are still processing your application.

Thanks for your reply. I called up on 22.10.2020 and they said that a decision has been made. However until today no refusal email and no email to collect passport. I hope the next email would be to collect the passport. Now just wondering what the outcome is

Looking at multiple online comments, you normally get a refusal decision very soon and your passport is returned a few days after the refusal decision (sometimes, the very next day after a refusal decision!).
If you don't get your passport, then it means either they are still taking time to consider your case or that they have already made a decision and they are just waiting to give back your passport to you.
I would highly suggest you to send UKVI an email using the online paid enquiry service so that you can at least know whether a decision has been made or whether they are still processing your application.

We are also in the same stage, decision made,but no passport receive. We escalated the case on 30/10/20, I also called the paid number and the woman told me that passport should be with us soon. Up to date no email or tls sms. Are you sure that refusals emails are send and no letters with the passport. If this is the case then so many people will be issued with a visa, because most of people are in the same situation , decision made and waiting for passports.

They send refusals these days via email so keep checking your spam mails. If you don’t get any refusal mail & you got asked to pick your passport, then it chances of your visa application being successful is high.

I think if I am not mistaken after the decision make, Ukvi will email about decision made and passport has sent to vfs centre . This kind of email they have send me when I applied for my family permit. And I got pre - settle status as well . Just hoping my parents and in laws visa will be granted as well. We have applied for our both parents . Finger crossed, hoping and praying we will get our visas .

Same here.. decision made 2 weeks ago and I’m still waiting. I’m gonna contact UKVI if I don’t get my passport by next Friday. I wonder why it’s taking long to get passports back once a decisions been made.

yeah, i sent them an email on 28th of oct they replied, saying decision is made, but if passport not received they will escalate the case, they did and still nothing. I am about to call them now, i will text what they said to me. Hope I will be helpful for some.
