FLRm when to apply please!

Post by mrmoussa » Thu Nov 19, 2020 10:55 am

Hello , Can you please advise when I can apply for my FLRm.

My BRP was issued on 07/08/2018 and valid until 14/05/2021
I came to the UK on 14/08/2018

As you may notice my visa duration is more than 2 and a half year, it is 33months and 7 days.
Can you please advise when is the correct date to apply as some people say 28 days before expiry and others 28 days before completing 2.5 years?
Thanks in advance

28 days before completing 2.5 years till the expiry date on brp is the window for applying FLRM.

Thank you for your response,
What will be the best time to apply in order to avoid any gap complications when applying for ILR?

If you aren't in hurry then apply very close to the expiry to prevent every possible chance of shortfall whilst having fully maximised spare time to prepare the necessary documents including B1 & LIUK. Aside this, you can also stick to what Amazonian has said because that will also avoid shortfall.

your reply is highly appreciated.

Can you please explain to me how come applying close to expiry would prevents any shortfalls?

how can I decide the exact date for submitting the application to be sure there will be no shortfall?

You can avoid the shortfall if you at least apply after 30 months minus 28 days until the last day of expiry. Obviously the more later after completing 30 months you will apply, the more it will narrow down the possibility of any shortfall because next the extension will also be of 30 months.

Just apply anytime after 30 months minus 28 days
