Tracking visa application from USA

Hi,

I applied for a Long stay visa "Type D" via the Chicago consulate in USA. Is there any way I can track my application?

Unfortunately there's no tracking service when applying directly via consulate or embassy.
It's normally available if the application was submitted to the visa application centre or another commercial partner.
