Applying tier 2 extension from uk and dependent visa out side uk

Hi guys,

i'm newly married ( oct 2020) and came back to uk, i'm currently on tier 2 visa which is about expire in january 2021. so i've applied for my extension for which i still need to submit documents in UKvcas center the appointment date i got for it is too long.

my wife is in india, she is first time coming to uk.

so can i apply for my wife's dependent visa when my application is still in process??? while filling the application for my wife i've given my unique application number and cos number as areference to my application.

do they take time untill my visa approval?? are there any chances of refusal??

please help me guys.

I suggest wait till you have your visa before applying for your wife. You risk her getting a visa only till yours expires in January.
