Confirmation of VISA application (Employer Request)

Post by Tziuh » Wed Dec 09, 2020 6:03 pm

Hi
Hope I can get an answer to this here.

My employer asked for confirmation of my visa application, apparently I should get some kind of documentation to confirm my application had been made.

I provided my fee payment screenshot and my biometric appointment sheet but not sure what else to give as nothing else has been sent to me by UKVCAS.

Am I supposed to get a letter/email advising that my application has been officially logged?

Thanks

Dorothy

I suggest that you do NOT come up with your own interpretations of what is required. The procedures are set by UKVI and must be followed by all employers. They must take specific steps to check your right to work.

Read: https://www.gov.uk/check-job-applicant-right-to-work

Assuming you do not have a valid BRP and waiting for your in-time application to be processed, your employer should then use your application number to request a positive response from UKVI via the employer checking service.

Thank you for the reply.

I provided those two pieces to my employer, but not with the presumption that i was giving the correct information, rather it was all I have to show my application status.

I too was under the impression that my employer should simply be able to verify my status themselves but they seem to want ME to provide them with proof of this, which I cannot because ofc my application is still under consideration.

Will proceed as you have advised.

Thanks again.

You just need to provide your employer with your UAN and they can do the checks themselves as stated by @Zimba.

It's their job to do as required by UKVI. So let them take care of it
