It is best to cancel your application and resubmit again when you qualify. Usually the CW’s apply discretion and ask the applicant’s to redeclare before right away refusing the application. But if I was you, I would not risk as this is a strict requirement which may cause a refusal if CW did not apply discretion.fatimahj wrote: ↑Mon Nov 23, 2020 2:37 pmHi
I am applying for citizen application I submitted my application on 14 November 2020 and in process of downloading documents which I still did not submit and my biometric date on 7th December 2020
I just noticed in 5 year residency although I satisfier total absence criteria but I just noticed I was absent on first day of my five year (as was on holiday from 3/11/2015 to 5/12/2015)
so plz advise should I cancel my application and resubmit it after 5th December when I was physically present in UK

1)Do you have a previous visa, entry clearance or leave to remain where you had to prove your knowledge of English I said yes as I appeared in IELTS with previous visa then next question is: tell us the previous visa, entry clearance or leave to remain you had My question should I mention all previous visa or just ILR??
Should not be an issue even if referee forms were signed in November.fatimahj wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 8:25 pmHi
I will appreciate help in my issue as I had to cancel my citizenship application submitted on 14th November 2020 and I got referee letters signed for this purpose on 11 November 2020 now I am resubmitting my citizenship application on 16th December 2020 and probably will get biometrics date in about a month .My question is can I use referee letter which will be more than one month old from date of submission of application and second question can I have both referee as hospital doctors
kindly advise
Doctor is not considered as a professional person for referees purpose:Each referee should know the applicant personally.
For an adult application, one referee should be a person of any nationality who has professional standing, eg minister of religion, civil servant, or a member of a professional body e.g. accountant or solicitor (who is not representing you with this application).
For all applications, the second referee must normally be the holder of a British citizen passport and either a professional person or over the age of 25.
Correct. Ideally it should be closer to the application date with a reasonable time if before application date (not like 6 months old).
Thanks a lot and sorry for messing up with the Thread.
