Expiring Visa

Hello ,

I have a work permit expiring on the 16th of january 2021 ( i have a dependant visa that cannot be renewed)

I would like to know if i need to tell my employer that my visa is expiring, if so should i give them my one month notice or just let them know that my visa is expiring at that date.

Hello

Ask your employer if they can sponsor you. They need to have a license. Work visa are easier now than ever.

Otherwise, yes, you need to let them know.

In the case that the company cannot sponser me, any idea of how long before i should let them know?

You should tell them now. Legally you can give whatever your contractual notice is (eg 1 month, or 1 week), but it is best to be open.

What line of work are you in? Are you looking for other jobs or planning to leave the UK
