I need advice badly

:cry: I came to the us over a year ago on a vwp I did try to get a visa from the embassy but because I did not have a credit card ( they didnt take cash) I could not get an appointment I came here and fell in love with a us citizen we did go to a lawyer who was useless and did not help the man I love I am now engaged to we are both retired and we want to marry we cannot afford expensive lawyers and I am at a loss what to do what is wrong with falling in love and wanting to marry and live a quiet life I never have been anywhere before this and am at a loss what to do or where to start please help

If you were inspected at your entry to the US, you can apply for adjustment of status through your spouse and your overstay and/or illegal employment will most probably be forgiven.
