PBS dependent child - Is consent for home office forms needed?

Post by Susen333 » Sun Dec 27, 2020 4:15 pm

Hi Team,

I am applying PBS dependent visa for my 6 month old daughter born in India. My husband holds Tier2 general visa valid till 2022 and is currently in the UK. I have a PBS dependent visa also valid till 2022. We will be submitting my husbands past 90 days bank statements to prove maintenance of funds. While applying for PBS dependent visa for our daughter we came across this question in the consent section “ Are you relying on evidence from someone else to prove your financial circumstances? “
Should we answer yes ?
If yes which forms among the part 1,2,3 from the link should we submit https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/documents/family_consent.pdf
Should my husband sign these and send it to me from UK ? Or can we use scanned copy ?

Thanks in advance for your help and advice.

Regards

Yes, part 1 you should sign (assuming you are applying on behalf of your child), part 2 & 3 your husband should sign as his bank account statement will be used for evidence.

Scanned copy will be fine as everything uploaded is digital these days.

P.s: I didn't see this consent form requirement previously for my tier 2 dependents, so assuming this is new as per the updated online form. I'm familiar with this form for ILR application though.
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.
