Hope you are all well
Here is a short description of my case
- My fiance applied for a (Finace Visa) from outside UK in October 2020
- We did not submit IELTS certificate, believed exam centre was closed, and adhering to updated home office guidance with regard to COVID-19 asked for an exemption, explaining the centre is closed
- Received a request to submit the certificate in December 2020 within 5 days, wrote back indicating that exam has been booked but the test itself is in a week and the result will take another week after that
- Received refusal in December 2020, solely because of IELTS certificate, reason being that the centre in my fiance's country was open prior to submitting the application, this appears to be true
My questions are
- Can I ask for an administrative review? as this appears to be quicker however the guidance seem to indicate that you are only entitled to a admin review if the letter says so and that you are not entitled to appeal
- Shall I submit an appeal for a paper review or is it just quicker to make a fresh claim?
