Hi
I am a British citizen and my wife and daughter are on a spouse and dependent visa (they have this extended 2.5 years ago) and now in Mar they will qualify for ILR (as stated in the letter from Home Office) as they were on a 5 year route. My daughter is over 18 now I understand that she can still apply as dependent because she has the original visa issued before she turned 18. The requirement for this is that she is not living an independent life, got married and lived at the same address as us her parents. She has letter from her university and bank statements which can confirm her address. My query is what kind of evidence we can provide to prove that she is not living an independent life. If we write a cover letter will that be enough or shall we get a letter from a friend/relative or someone else. Also it might have been asked before but can some one please tell me what reasons we can give as why she can not return to her home country being an adult. The main reason is she has her parents and family here in the UK and she is studying a degree course. Will these two be enough reasons for the Home Office.
Any information or experience will be much appreciated thanks.
