Shortage occupation list

Post by Khaled33 » Tue Jan 26, 2021 9:36 pm

I am aware a few roles were added to the shortage occupation lists in 2019. DId the list back then offer a reduced minimum salary requirement as it's the case now under the Skilled worker Visa ?

No it did not!! The only exemption for shortage occupation was the ilr minimum salary. The SOC salaries were not reduced.

Thank you! 1. so if one applies for ILR while on tier 2- will his application be evaluated against the current skilled worker visa rules or the ones that were followed when the visa was granted ?

2. Also, can an employer chooses to reduce a salary to a level lower than that of the SOC but still higher than the current threshold without the need to apply for a new visa ?
