Naturalisation (for me) & Spousal (for my wife)

Post by jaskiratsingh01 » Wed Jan 27, 2021 9:05 pm

Hi,

I'm eligible and planning to apply for naturalisation on 30th Jan 2021 and spousal for my wife in the beginning of May 2021.
Just in case if I don't get my naturalisation by the end of Apr (or by the time she makes her application), would it affect her spousal application in any way?

As per my understanding these two processes are completely different to one another but I don't want to risk any delay in her spousal application. Does anyone have any idea?

Assuming you mean your wife's applying for a Spouse Visa?
They are different applications. You gaining citizenship will have no impact.
Note though that your timing expectations are ambitious. You may be approved within three months, however it's likely to be another three months waiting for the citizenship ceremony at your local council - only then you will be British and receive your certificate.
