My mother was diagnosed with Parkinson's about three years ago. She is now immobile and needs full time care. My father is a drunk and has been so all his life. Since he retired about six years ago he's been drinking full time and has been a reason for a lot of pain in our lives. Now my mother is immobile in a lot of pain, mentally and physically. Many a times she would call me crying while I hear my father yelling in the background. She is now slowly loosing her speech.
My elder brother is married and has moved away to live with his wife and her mother and he won't visit my mother. Our relatives are all in Punjab while my mother is in Mumbai. Because they are in Punjab and not that well off, they never visited us in the last twenty five years. And we are not close to them so there is no one to look after my Mother apart from me.
I moved to UK in 2006 and am now a british citizen. I would like to move my mum to UK with me so I can look after her and give her all the joy and happiness towards the end of her life that she couldn't get in ever before. I do not need recourse to public funds and have enough to cover her expenses.
What are the chances of success in this situation?
Is this the form/method I can apply under?
