Please help me work out annual gross income

Hi there,

I'm getting some conflicting information from my lawyer so I just wanted to cross check here.

Can you guys please tell me what my gross annual income will be for the UK spouse visa if my past 6 months salary is as below:

Base salary : 18450 per annum before tax
Salary from OT for the past 6 months: £1198 before tax

If they count past OT as future it would be: 18450+1198*2=20846
If not: 18450+1198=19648

I think it is unlikely they will allow you to use past OT as an indicator of future OT and might not count OT at all. I have no idea though.

That was exactly what I thought too.

However, my lawyer says overtime is not considered as non-salaried income.

Your solicitor is ill informed.
There should be no issue in OT during the same 6 month period as the payslips to be utilised as part of the calculation to determine if the financial requirement is met.
