That’s a standard procedure, 2019 had the exact same and had to wait a further year until a decision being made. But you may get your deck early it’s for if they accept your asylum to issue your biometric card.Subtlegirl28 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 1:25 pmHello everyone, I went to my asylum substantive interview this year, a week later I receive a letter from office , telling to me , to book an appointment to enrol my biometric, I did so and I’ve already went to my biome tric appointment.. please is this a good sign or I still have to wait ?
Hi shilamSheilaM wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 2:21 pmHi Guys I thought this may help the thread. I received a email from Home office today to apologise about the delay, they said due to the Pandemic things have been slow as many have been working from home, and those who go to the office have to social distance follow the pandemic process which is delaying everything. 🥲🥲🥲

Sheilam what do you mean by deck... I read that they are only suppose to send you to enrol your biometrics if they’re going to grant you stay ...SheilaM wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 2:17 pmThat’s a standard procedure, 2019 had the exact same and had to wait a further year until a decision being made. Ok thank you, guess got to keep fingers cross and hope for a positive outcome ..SheilaM wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 5:47 pm@Subtlegirl28, As a standard process they always send biometric enrolment letter especially after the main interview or before the main interview so that if a decision to grant asylum is made you get your biometric card. However Those who have done Further Submissions after a failed asylum get biometric enrolment letters if their further submissions is accepted. Read recent thread atleast 3 or 4 people have done their asylum interview and also got biometrics to enroll.
Hi shilamSheilaM wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 4:03 pm@Indu] My solicitor chased them as I did my Biometrics in December after receiving my grant letter, no biometric card since . Good news they hope to finish in 4 weeks. I was hoping to move to Scotland If you don’t hear anything I would advise you to chase them up to see where they are with your case.
Hi shilamSheilaM wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 12:20 am@Indu. Yes I got a Job offer there, I’m still working here in England. Was hoping to further my education as well but everything is just on hold. I hope you get good news Indu and if you are writing a complaint bare in mind it takes 20 days or more before they respond.
Hi SheilaM,
Hi dear kindly update us with your status as I am in the same exact situation like you and gone through the process exactly as you god willing we hear good newsFilo1981 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 17, 2021 12:25 pmHello everyone!
I am new here, but I read a lot of conversation since 2019. Could someone tell me it you have the same situation like mine. I applied asylum January 2019, already submitted preliminary questionnaire November of 2019 and evidence As well. I just had my substantive interview last December 14th 2020 and and 2 days after biometric enrolment letter (BRP) was sent to my post, Done with my BRP enrolment last January 6th 2021. Can someone tell me what will happen next pls. I have dependants with me. Thank you so much.
I entered NRM in April 2020 , got positive decision in July 2020 then I asked my mp to intervene in September they gave us 4 months deadline got positive conclusive grounds decision in 1st week of February 2021 , they send me a questionnaire with positive conclusive grounds decision and then refusal on discretionary leave in next three days , I want helping police or anything so that was not a surprise but I had no decision on my further submissions yet , my solicitor wrote to them about 10 days ago to make a decision then I have also contacted my local mp again and he has also contacted them.Amissah87 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 12:46 pmHi khatoon82
Please can you answer for me the following;
1. When did you enter the NRM (year) and were you sent a form to fill before a conclusive decision was made. And if so, how long did you have to wait after that.
2. In order to be granted discretionary leave under NRM, you would have to involve the police in bring up charges against your traffickers. So they grant that so victims would be able to have some temporary right whiles criminal proceedings are carried out against their traffickers. If you didn't that could be a reason.
3. With the NRM decision, the home office will be making a decision on your further submissions. The problem is you wouldn't know when that would be. You need contact your solicitor to send a message to the home office about the NRM decision so your case will be look at.
I'm in the NRM and still waiting for a decision as well as my further submissions.
So did you only spend 3 months for nrm? If so ,then yours was super quick. I got a positive conclusive grounds decision in September and I got a deadline of April for asylum decision. Every case os different. I waited nearly 3 years for just conclusive grounds decision, and you only waited 3 months. Ao every case is different. All we need is patience and faith.Khatoon82 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 8:57 pmI entered NRM in April 2020 , got positive decision in July 2020 then I asked my mp to intervene in September they gave us 4 months deadline got positive conclusive grounds decision in 1st week of February 2021 , they send me a questionnaire with positive conclusive grounds decision and then refusal on discretionary leave in next three days , I want helping police or anything so that was not a surprise but I had no decision on my further submissions yet , my solicitor wrote to them about 10 days ago to make a decision then I have also contacted my local mp again and he has also contacted them.Amissah87 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 12:46 pmHi khatoon82
