A Devastating Experience in immigration office

Post by knapps » Wed Oct 01, 2008 8:47 pm

Got Dept of justice letter for 5 years approval and in the letter it says that just bring valid passports as identity proof. queued up for 45 minutes got to the counter and the lady said she wants to see marriage certificate. I said it is not the requirement by the immigration and naturalisation dept on the letter but insisted and did not give endorsement 20 minutes for office to close took half day off from work to sort it out. got out took a taxi went home same taxi got back with the marriage certificate two minutes to 4. same lady says can't look after closing the window. i requested said I dont care. now that's the treatement once get in the immigration department in cork. not to mention those two cases in which one was strip searched and the other threaten to deport.

u think i should report to Dept of justice as they did not write in the letter that marriage cert also needed. my day wasted.. will hv to go back again tomorrow
