Proof Of Employment Letter For Spouse Visa

Hello Everyone,

I'm a British citizen trying to bring my wife over to the UK. I need to ask my HR in the comapny to provide proof of employment letter for the visa. However, my HR is adamant that i should address it to some address in India instead of a "To whomever it may concern" with my role, salary etc. Any guidance on who to address this to please ???

Also, I registered the marriage last year while in India. I wanted to get the visa sorted by the time i arrive in India to do the whole church wedding with everyone present. Will this cause any issues with proof of marriage part of the application since the big event is still to be conducted? I was hoping since we are legally married, if the visa is sorted then we can fly back together instead of applying after the church function.

"To whom it may concern" is sufficient, alternatively it can be address to the Home Office. Rather than the address, it is important that the letter contains all the information required as stated in the Immigration Rules/Appendix FM/Appendix FM-SE.

If you are a legally married in India and have a marriage certificate to evidence the same you should have no issues. An explanation can be provided in the covering letter to appease the decision maker.
