Spouse visa (British husband and Non-British wife)

Post by Faisal Reza Ul-Haque » Fri Jan 01, 2021 5:40 pm

Hi,
I have some questions regarding a spouse visa, specifically using Category D.  Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do the funds have to be in one account?  I have them in 3 current accounts.  This is primarily a "don't keep all your eggs in basket" approach.  Additionally, with the pandemic situation, who knows what the health of the banks are.

The funds are a combination of my own savings from earnings as well as a gift from my father-in-law.  What supporting documents do I need to present?

Thanks,

Faisal.

No  I have them in 3 current accounts.  This is primarily a "don't keep all your eggs in basket" approach.  Additionally, with the pandemic situation, who knows what the health of the banks are. List all the accounts with relevant details, state the amount in each(if in foreign currency or currencies convert using oanda.com rate for the day of application, do another one with total sum in the accoun and screenshot them for addition to documents for upload)

The funds are a combination of my own savings from earnings as well as a gift from my father-in-law.  What supporting documents do I need to present? A letter titled "Declaration of source of funds in accounts........, simple letter stating they are from savings from your salaries/income and cash gift from father-in-law.
Note that the sum for meeting £62,500 must have being at that amount for last 6 months, backed by 6months bank statement

Thanks,

Faisal.

If in foreign currency, you need to factor in fluctuations in exchange rate in last 6months to ensure the funds have not dropped below the amount needed to meet financial requirements.

Spouse visa contact evidence

Post by Faisal Reza Ul-Haque » Tue Mar 09, 2021 5:43 pm

Hi,
A relatively "simple" question. With regard to applying for a spouse visa and the relevant communication evidence (WhatsApp screenshots):

* We have been married for 5 years with me, the British spouse living with her in Bangladesh.
* For the times I have had to come to London, we have maintained communication via the joys of the internet, using mainly WhatsApp and sporadically Messenger.
* Now with lifelong treatment, for Multiple Sclerosis, it is time for me to "return home" and thus her presence is also a requisite.

Do we need to provide evidence from each year or only 6 months from this year? For the six months that we are waiting for the savings to meet the held for six months rule (August) I am in Bangladesh so for obvious reasons, there is much reduced WhatsApp communication as we are face to face.

Advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Faisal.
