Hello
I am hoping to be able to apply for Tier 1 at some point later in the year. I am somewhat conerned about getting denied on a technicality, however, such as missing such documentation or some such thing. On the outside it would appear I have enough points for everything, and most of it is straightforward, except for the past earnings.
I am 25 years old, so, 20 points for that. Easy enough to prove with birth certificates and etc.
I hold a Bachelor's degree from a top university in America, so, I get 30 points for qualifications, also easily proved with degree and letter from university. If I am correct, this also satisfies my english language requirement ?
I will have enough of a balance in my bank account, which is about 5600 USD, by the time I apply, so that should take care of maintenance funds.
This leaves me with 25 points that I need to reach the 75 total required. I have no UK experience in school or work, so the only other category I can earn points is in past earnings. This is where it is tricky for me and need advice on proper documentation so as not to get refused. Now, I have one main job, for a hospital, in which I earn approx 45,000 USD, which gives me about 15 points when translated to GBP. Obviously, I still need 10 mor points. I also have a second job on a part-time basis for another company, different field, where I earn another 12,000 USD per year. Now, WITH this second job, my TOTAL earnings are enough to get me the 25 points needed. I was told some time ago that earnings from two different jobs could be conbined to give the required points. my question is proper way of documenting all this. Obviously, I have kept all my paystubs, so I will have that. I will have tax forms from each company, though depending on when I apply, they will probably not cover the full 12 month period of earnings. I can get bank statements, but this is only NET amounts, and further, while one job is directly deopisited to my account by the company, the part time job pays me via an actual check that I deposit myself, and so on my bank statemtns it doesnt have that company's name, it only says "customer deposit". I could try to get a letter from payroll of both stating my total earnings for the 12 month period, but with my full time job this will be incredibly difficult to get, as I work for a massively large hospital, and payroll isn't even in the same building, or same part of the city, that I work in. Getting someone on the phone in that office takes ages, I cannot imagine trying to get someone to sit and add up 12 months of my gross pay to put in a letter for me. i don't know what to do. Please advise on what documentation regarding my previous earnings I need to give them. the last thing i want is to pay all that money for an application, only to get refused on a technicality, or lack of evidence!
Thank you for the advice. Any other input is appreciated as well regarding tips on applying.
