VFS -Bombay : Dependent visa

Post by ashishashah » Fri Oct 03, 2008 10:51 am

Hello,

HAs any one applied for Dependent visa at VFS-Mumbai in last week?
I have applied for HSMP-Dependent visa for my new born daughter .(I am on HSMP and my wife is on HSMP dependent) It has been 7 days since we have submitted the application, but no update as yet..VFS is maintaing that they have forwarded the application to BHC.

Any idea about what might be going on?

Thinking ahead and worst case scenerio ,if my daughters visa is rejected ,do we have a chance to appeal? What is the procedure for that?I ahev my HSMP extension next week,so i need them in UK ASAP.

Thanks
Ashish

Hello Ashish,

First of all congratulations on your new born.

As far as your query goes, i think no one can predict what would be going in between VFS & BHC; I think if you have followed the normal procedure to apply for your new born daughter then no one can reject the application; I think you should just wait for the outcome and hope for the best. If my reply is a bit late and you have already got the result. Then please do let us know the result as well.

Kind Regards

The refusal letter will state whether you have the right to appeal the decision. Appeals usually take months (unlike a Tier 1 admin. review which usually takes about 28 days)!

Dependents Visa Application - Is Bank Letter Required?

Post by majic » Sun Oct 12, 2008 10:56 am

Dear All,

I am applying for my dependents visa. I am already in the UK. My Question is that I am submitting a normal bank statement swich I recieved in mail from my UK BANK.

Do I need a letter from them as well confirming the Funds. My Bank statement is very small it has 2 credits and 2 debits over last 3 months. I presume it fulfills all the requirement of UKBA and the need for a letter only arises where the statement is electronic.

Please advice.

Regards

Faisal.
