Tier 2 - Shortage Occupation List

Post by Vidya90 » Sun Mar 28, 2021 4:56 pm

Hi,
Currently I am on Tier 2 General Visa. I was made redundant and stopped working for the company by end of last week. My husband applied for ILR (LR) early this month and his status is unemployed at the moment. Could someone advise me what is the best way to live in the UK without leaving the country without breaking any rules.

1. Find a new sponsor and apply for a skilled worker visa.

2. Or once your husband gets ilr, switch to FLR M spouse visa if you meet the financial and English requirements. This will reset your 5 year ILR clock to zero though.

Could I continue living on Tier 2 General until my employer reports to Home Office of cancelling it and then make FLRM application?

What is the financial requirement if we both are unemployed right now?

Hi Cr001,
It's difficult to find a job all of a sudden , this intense moment is eating me from inside. Is there any other way to fulfil this or live in the UK legally
