Retrieval of Original Documents

Post by narveer » Wed Apr 27, 2005 8:19 pm

I had requested for Original documents on 12th of April and According to HSMP my originals were dispatched to my Dublin address on 14th April. It’s been two weeks and I am yet to receive my originals. I called HSMP Today and they said that my originals should have reached me by now as it takes 3 days by first class royal mail. HSMP asked me to contact my local sorting office in case they must be holding the package. I called the local sorting office and they have made it clear that its impossible to track the first class royal mail.

Now what should I do? All the time I was thinking that may be the documents are on the way or may be they are in the queue. I need documents ASAP as I will be applying for UK work permit soon and more importantly I will move from the current address.

What can I do now? I wont be having Experience letters as well as the degree certificate when I apply for EC for Work Permit.

I spoke to HSMP Team and they have confirmed that they have posted back the original documents on 14th of April. According to them as the documents have been posted they are not in any kind of position to comment why I havent recieved the documents.

Now is there any way I can ask Royal Mail to look in this matter ? HSMP has posted the letter by Royal mail Airmail and its not a registered delivery.

Experienced members can you please help me out and suggest me what I can do to retrieve the documents. Problem is I am moving from Dublin Address to UK and I dont have much time either.

Please help.

Hi narveer

I also had a problem with the original documents which I had posted and HSMP team insisted they never received the documents. I contacted the Royal Mail at contactus@royalmail.com and received a quick response and they posted proof of delivery some days later. My documents were posted as Special Delivery 9 am.

hi mbg,

I thought HSMP found your documents. I dont know how to proceed further. I have called them many times and they have strongly indicated that they cant do anything about it.

But in your case I think they can find your documents since Royal mail has confirmed delivery. Why dont you write them a letter and use all kind of communication means to send them the message across?
