Hello guys

Just a quick question regarding the application form during some final checks (switching from fiancé visa to spouse visa)

- What type of visa, leave to enter or remain or other permission do you have to be in the UK?

I selected family, just having second thought about maybe it's settlement?

Any help is appreciated thank you :)
The option you selected I.e. family is alright.

Declaration consent, spouse visa

Post by CZ2021 » Wed Feb 03, 2021 6:07 pm

Hello, just at the last bit of my application now finally and I am very confused with the declaration step.

As you go into the declaration section, there is the first question asking you to download the form and tick:I will provide a declaration signed by me to confirm my consent for the Home Office to request verification checks. All 3 parts of the consent form are done with no problem, but as you go into the next page, it asks you:" Is the account with a bank or utility company for which you have supplied information and supporting documentation held jointly by you and other people?", the answer is yes as I supplied some utility bills with joint names with my husband, however, when you choose yes, it comes up: "Each of those others should download, sign and return the following declaration", with a link below to download the form, which I did, only to realise it's the same form to the previous verification checks consent form. Now the question is, do I just do the same forms twice? or do I mean to just do one and it covers both questions?

sorry it sounds very confusing and maybe silly too, but I really want to make sure there are no errors with the application, after all it's a lot of effort and money involved. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help!

spouse visa approved in 4 working days!

Post by CZ2021 » Wed Mar 10, 2021 2:42 pm

Hello everyone

I have just received home office decision email informing me I am approved for my first spouse visa, after just 4 working days !!! I am out of words right now, I can't believe how fast it was and how lucky I am.

I submitted my biometrics in Birmingham last Thursday and received the decision today, which made me doubt whether the email is legit lol, so happy !!!!

I just want to thank everyone on this forum as you have all helped me tremendously throughout the process. I had previously hired a solicitor for my fiancé visa because of my overstay history, however this time I decided to do it myself with the help of people here and all the other previous posts on here, I did it, Thank you all so much!!!!!!! and good luck to everyone going through the process now!!!

Hi there,

Congratulations on getting your Spouse Visa!

Your application process is quite similar to what mine will be and I was wondering if you could answer a few questions.

How did you go about addressing your previous overstaying in the UK in the Fiancé visa application?

Did you make plans to marry before you left the UK to Marry?

Many thanks,

Locked
