Hi, I'm hoping someone with similar experience can advise on this.
I am a British citizen, applying for a spouse visa for my husband and I will be his sponsor. We lived together for 6 years in his home country of Peru, then married on a Marriage Visitor visa here in the UK, where I now live and am working full time and he is in Peru.
I own a house here and have all of the necessary paperwork, except that my contract is fixed term and I'm not sure if this meets the requirements. I have been working with the company for over 12 months and earn £29,000 but the contract is due to end in September. My manager has already told me she wants to make this permanent but cannot do so until 4 weeks before it ends, and this is her just giving me her word, there are no documents to prove she will do this.
Does anyone have experience with applying for a spouse visa as a sponsor on a fixed term contract? I don't want to delay applying until September because a) I miss my husband terribly and b) I am due to have surgery in a few months and would really like to have him here to help afterwards.
Thanks in advance,
Katie
