Tier 2 dependent visa for EU national?

Hi everyone,

Your advice concerning my situation would be appreciated:

My current status: Tier 2 general visa valid until Feb 2022, planning to apply for ILR.

Wife is currently resident in Germany (Pakistani national), she recently has qualified for German residence and planning to submit the paperwork and hopefully get German passport this year.

Her plan is to come to the UK and start living with me.

Under these conditions, will she be applying for tier 2 dependent visa to come and settle down in the UK with me? or there is a different route for EU passport holders, keeping in mind she has never lived in the UK before.

What would be the situation if she applies for tier 2 dependent visa as a Pakistani national and then switches her nationality after that?

Any help would be appreciated.

Unless she is the child of Pakistani parents who has grown up in Germany and who has due to her birth in Germany acquired German nationality in addition to her parent's nationality from the other state. she will have to renounce her Pakistani nationality when she acquires German citizenship. See:

Post Brexit EU and non-EU applicants are treated the same way. She can apply for a Skilled Worker (T2) dependant visa from Germany

No, but she'll have to apply for a new BRP if and when her nationality changes, see:
