Send Passport for driving application

Hi Everyone,

I have applied for Skilled worked dependant visa 2 weeks ago (My wife has already received her Skilled worker visa).
I am awaiting the decision on my visa application.

I have applied for a provisional driving license.
The driving license application requires me to send my original passport via post which they will return within 2 weeks.

My question - Is it a risk to send my passport when I am waiting for my Visa decision?

This has nothing to do with your visa extension.
