I applied in November 2020 and my employer did a right to work check and was given up to 18 May and they will suspend my employment until I have my status. I explained to them if I have in time application my status remains the same but they said they want evidence to keep in their file. So they will have to stop me until I have this.

Hi,

The same happened to me the first visa was spouse and then we broke up but due to the pandemic I couldn’t move I lost my job because I needed to stay and looked after our child, so what I did was first my ex sent an email to home office that our relationship broke down and that fue to pandemic I was staying in the same house I then applied for switch to a parent visa explaining the situation I still haven’t heard nothing I applied for the visa on the 18 of March.
Hope this helps, what is your current visa ??

Flr(fp) it’s the employerchecking system that gave until 18 May. They gave 6 months from November

Hi, I just join this website. Is it anyone of you submitted FLR FP on November 2020? I called HO, tried to escalate my case but they said I can't escalate base on my case (FLR FP).

Hi All,

Please I need your advice. My application has been with HO since Jan 2019.

I have escalated twice (responce was that...not completed)
Contacted mp to help contact HO ( same response...not completed)

My lawyer has now advised that we can use Judicial Review to try and get a decision but the High cost of the JR and the likely hood of actually getting a decision is my main concern. The application is almost 2 and half years.

Please has anyone experienced this lengthy delay or used a JR to get a decision? And whether its worth using JR.

Thanks All.

Hello everyone,
I am Saif .I am very quiet member here .I have applied flr (fp) first extension on November 20th 2020 and we didn’t apply for fee waiver .December 18th we have done our biometric. My son is British (10 years route ).He is 14 now .So we applied for myself, my wife 2 daughters (9) and 8 years old .January I complained to home office and mentioned them we are struggling as my wife lost the job due to Covid and can’t get a job because of no visa .Home office instructed my local council to help us and they paid me £518 a week from 1st Feb till 13th of May .Today our visa is extended for 30 months. So be patience and I wish everyone all the best.

I suggest you contact a local journalist. That’s what I was doing now , mine too it’s been 10 months and still no decision, I escalated multiple times , escalated through local MP and still got no response , I escalated again today through the home office hotline and they told me the escalation is still in progress and will end on this Friday evening and if no response call again, I’m fed up so what I did is I emailed all the London journalist that I saw in google and Twitter almost 100 of them only 2 responded on weekends and had a zoom meeting in one of them, today he phoned the Home Office asking for a comment but they are asking for my name so I told the journalist to give them my application details. Hopefully I will get the decision within this week! If not I don’t know anymore. My solicitor tried his best but not really helpful at all. So it’s me only chasing my case I hope you do the same and put pressure in home office nonstop

Thanks alot for your reply. I hope you do get a result soonest as well. Best of Luck.
