FLR (M) time restriction outside UK

Hello,
I have tried searching past threads without luck.
My wife is due to renew her FLR M visa (expires June '21), but we have been outside the UK for 14 months, which is longer than planned due to COVID restrictions on travel.
Our question is if she can make a renewal of the FLR M as she has been outside the UK for more than 6 months?

There is no 6months or any time restriction at all on time spent outside UK for one on spouse visa albeit there are documents to support the application ( to show subsisting relationship) which being out of the UK may not make easy to get and or supply.
HO away of disruptions occasioned by the pandemic however did you return to UK at the earliest opportunity?

As we were abroad together, with our kids,, I guess some joint correspondance over that period should serve the purpose of showing we were together.

The relevance of such correspondence is in relation to your spouse stay in UK (stand to be corrected). You will just have to supply what item of correspondence you can get hold of.

You have to declare time spent abroad and also provide evidence to suggest both of you and your partner is still genuine and subsisting when you resided abroad and since you have been abroad for 14 months, provide correspondence will be difficult for you however, you must show evidence of continuous genuine and subsisting relationship.
