Spouse Visa (Family Route) - first extension

Post by hm7 » Mon May 31, 2021 11:58 pm

Hi,

I have applied for my first extension as a Spouse of a British national for FLR (Family Route) before the current Leave to Enter expiry, however, I can't find an appointment with UKVCAS (Spora Steria) to provide my Biometrics and documents before the current Leave to Enter expiry date. So my question - is it okay to stay without any break in legal residence in this situation?

My application details and timelines:
  • Application time: Spouse (Family Route)
  • Leave to Enter expiry date: 18/06/2021
  • First extension (FLR) application submission and fee paid date: 26/05/2021
  • UKVCAS (Spora Steria) biometrics appointment date: 25/06/2021
Is this okay if my UKVCAS appointment is after my current Leave to Enter expiry date and my application won't be completed for a decision by the time my current leave to enter is expiring (on 18/06/2021)?

Please guide. Thanks in advance.

It's fine for your appointment to be after visa expiry date.

The date of application is the date your submit and pay online and not the biometric appointment date.
