Help with a

Can anyone help me out?
Over five years ago I applied for permanent residency for Australia. My application was going to be rejected on the grounds that my application had so many holes in it it wasnt true. I hold my hands up, I lied to them about a few things etc, so i could stay a bit longer whilst there on a working holiday visa. I said that I was in a relationship`with an Australian, but wasnt really. Stupid I know?
However, I pulled my application out before they could reject me.
Does anyone know if they keep the records for this long as since then I have lived and worked in the US, I have a job offer in Australia and was wondering if its worth applying or will they say no straight away?
Many thanks.
