Spouse Visa - Gift Declaration - Level of details required

Post by icewater992 » Mon Jul 12, 2021 6:50 pm

Hello,

When declaring family gifts received for Spouse Visa - Cash Savings route ( Cat D ), do we need to provide bank statement for the whole month showing the funds deposited into the account? Or can we show screenshots of the transfer from sender and receiver's banking apps ? We're a bit confused on what level of details/documents to provide when declaring gifts received from family. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you.

You need full complete bank statements for a minimum of 6 months.
Char (CR001 not Casa)

Yes it is a must that you show full 6 months bank statements showing the funds have been held for that period. As far as I am aware, appendix FM-SE only mentioned bank statements & declaration of funds of where it came from. Some people to extra mile to get letter from person who gifted the funds to say it is not a loan and also include a bank statements from the person who gave them the funds.
My opinions should not be constituted as an immigration or legal advice.
