Biometrics Submitted: 1 July 2021 (got lucky with the UKVCAS £72 appointment, had to travel to Norwich though...)
Decision email/letter received: Pending (well beyond the 24hr window...)
I called the UKVI contact centre on 8 July and was told it would take up to 15 days for them to get back with regard to the "escalation"... so just more waiting!

Decision email/letter received: Approved on 6 August
N.B. after over a month's delay and multiple emails chasing/pleading, MP Siddiq's office contacted UKVI and tracked down my application. The delay was caused by a "technical issue". For anyone in a similar unlucky situation, contacting MP is probably the most effective route! My two costly phone calls escalating via UKVI went nowhere...

although i am still a week short of the stipulated period of 6 months, I see a lot of people on this forum who have applied after me getting their approvals/BRP already. My application was quite straight forward as far as i can tell

I have been following this forum anonymous all these days and logged in just now to share my update.

I have submitted a standard application and then when I looked at the forum for probable dates I had so many regrets. At one point I was about to withdraw my application and submit a priority one again. But out of no where I received the magic email saying my application is successful. It took one month and 2 days.

I did not receive any communication whatsoever after the 5 day service standard, so raised an escalation the day after. Was told it would take 15 working days but ended up waiting almost 25 working days. Still nothing. Today the UKVI contact centre informed me that the escalation team is working through requests made on 23rd July(I requested on 20th July) and that they are unable to tell me why I haven't heard anything. Ended up hanging up on me.

I have also asked my MP to request an update but nothing received yet.
