Hi Indu, there are some steps in getting N I, it can take up to 4weeks to get N I, at the moment I have finished step 1 and step 2 the next step will be step 3 and the final step will be 4, hopefully I will get it quick and soon.did you get your own without any step?

Hi everyone,

I hope you are well.

We applied for asylum January 2021, we did screening interview and we filled out the questionnaire and also sent all the documents with details of our case in another post. We have not done the substantive interview yet. Two days ago, we received a letter to do Biometrics for BRP. Is this a good sign? What does this mean pls? Is there anyone with a similar case? Thanks,
What is your immigration history? I would say the biometrics are for the substantive interview. Were your biometrics taken during the first interview?
Thank you for your reply glas195,

We applied in January 2021. After ten days, we did the screening interview, and yes, they took our biometrics during the screening interview. I was a student here, and we applied for asylum due to a change of circumstances before the end of my student visa. We did not receive any letter for the substantive interview. Are there cases to grant BRP without the substantive interview?

Thanks,
Greetings
During the screening interviews Biometrics are done. As you go for the Substantive interview biometrics are done too. You can not expect anything before the substantive interview. So it’s normal for them to call for Biometrics. If all goes well for you you could be granted after Substantive interview but it’s quite rare if what have gone through is a yard stick. However each application is different. I will tell you my journey. Was also on student visa applied due to change of circumstances before visa expired. Applied and screening done and Biometrics April 2017 (visa expired Jan 2018); substantive interview Sept 2017 and Biometrics ; Refused Nov 2017; appeal Feb 2018; Refused appeal April 2018; Did fresh submission Liverpool Oct 2018; Another interview Liverpool Feb 2020; Asked for more information April 2021; Biometrics Done April 17, 2021; Still waiting…..

The waiting is killer. If you have any faith hang on to it it’s the only saver. We keep waiting ….

Good people have now been granted 2.5yrs limited leave due to family/private life. (A family of 4; single parent and 3 kids). It’s been a long and emotionally draining journey. If you’re a believer keep the faith.
• Screening interview 04/2017
• Substantive interview 09/2017
• Refused 11/2017
• Appeal 02/2018
• Refused 04/2018
• Fresh submission 09/2018
• Another interview (Liverpool) 02/2020
• Application prioritised 02/2021
• Further evidence 04/2021
• Biometrics 04/2021
• Granted 11/08/21
• BRP received 24/08/21
Note: From 02/21 Lawyer been writing H/O monthly chasing the application
Please keep the faith and keep waiting. 🙏🙏🙏

@Questionanswer123!
No I didn’t use the 7 year route. I used evidence my older child having a medical condition, which developed whilst here and its a genetic ailment. So been granted the family/private life because we all are a family

A very huge congratulations to you and your family. We Are still waiting for our decision after our substantive interview in June. Early August we were sent a child dependant form to fill, asking if any of our children have their own individual protection needs. Did you also get that form to before your decision?

I filled those too when I first claimed. But this particular form was dated 3rd August and was being sent out due to a new ruling after a court case titled G v G. It's entirely different from the PIQ form. This centres around dependants under the age of 18. We were asked to fill and submit within 20 working days.

@Yemoja!
Then am not aware could be as you’re saying since it’s dependent on a new ruling therefore applies to those of you that are making claims now.

Hello everyone, May I ask if you received the same reply like mine from the home office saying that my application is in " ACTIVE CONSIDERATION". Could some one explain what is the meaning of this. Thank you and God bless everyone.

Did you get any response Rina? I am still waiting for mine. I hope they won't take too long to give their decision?

Congrat am very happy for you and your family...great news. Guys, anyone know much about FS please.. HO said sent further evidence form to me but I did not received any form at my home address but later refused with right of Appeal. something strange about rational decision of the caseworker; mentioned a lot of things don't related to my case guys... How can I go about it in the appeal hearing soon. Thank you.

Hi Goodife4all

sorry to hear about the refusal, the good news is that you have right of appeal, moreover I haven't heard of Further Evidence form. Moreover one of my refusal some times ago on the decision home office said that I can go back to Pakistan but unfortunately I am not Asian. I was shock when I saw it, I was also worried that I will be send to Pakistan , don't worry so much keep your fingers across, the judge may Grant you leave to remain.

I wish you a quicker positive response. Do you know or anyone know how long it is after you lodge the appeal to the hearing date, the response from the judge and HO responding if postive? I really dont think I can wait the same as it has been with the asylum :(
