Is it OK to marry while on unmarried partner's visa?

I am in UK on WP, and I am planning to to swich to unmarried partner's visa.

My boyfriend and I are getting married in the future but not at the moment. The reason why I apply to switch my WP to unmarried partner's visa is that the company I work for is not stable at the moment, and there might be a possibility that it would be closed down.

My question is;
Is it OK to marry while on unmarried partner's visa?

If you have an unmarried partner's visa and wish to marry in the UK then you will need to apply for a Certificate of Approval to give the needed Notice of Intention to Marry at the Register Office. And note that it would not be possible to get such a Certificate if less than three months are left on your unmarried partner's visa.

My boyfriend and I are living together just over 2 years. I think I can apply for unmarried partner's visa, as we have all the documents required. I just did not think about it before as I have a WP. But the company's situation made me consider applying for unmarried partner's visa.

If we got married while on unmarried partner's visa, when the visa expires, am I eligible to apply for indifinite leave?
