I am the sponsor (British citizen) of my family (wife and 3 kids) in the UK. Their current leave to enter will expire on 08/04/2022. I’m planning to submit the FLR extension application in mid March 2022. At the time of initial application, I got ILR which further changed to British Citizenship.
Current Situation:
The current situation is that my job contract will finish on 31 March 2022. At the time of visa application submission, I am meeting all the financial requirements (i.e., salary above the threshold, more than 3 years of employment, salary slip, etc.) but soon after there is no guarantee that my job contract will be extended (it depends on further funding).
Questions:
Based on above scenario, I have following questions:
- Will it affect the FLR extension specifically from sponsor’s financial threshold point of view?
- In which category of settlement route, it will be considered, 5 year or 10 years?
- How many additional months on the job contract will be helpful in this situation? Let’s say 3-4 months?
- Does it complicate the case if job finishes just after 15 days of visa applications submission?
