CoS Field - "Is the job on the current shortage occupation list?" Amendable

Hello,

I have been assigned a CoS in which code- "2139 Information technology and telecommunications
professionals not elsewhere classified" and also mentioned that "Is the job on the current shortage occupation list?: Y" where as while going through guidance "(https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration ... ation-list) I understand that ( 2139 Information technology and communications professionals not elsewhere classified – only cyber security specialists ). does it need correction to "Is the job on the current shortage occupation list?:" to N from Y. if yes, is this something can be requested to HR to amend?

If from the job description in the CoS it is obvious that you are not a cyber security specialist then the sponsor can correct the incorrect answer to the question about shortage occupation by adding a sponsor note.

Make sure that the sponsor is offering you at least the going rate for the job and is not taking advantage of the reduced rate for shortage occupation jobs.
