Locum work while switching employer? Health and Care Worker Visa

Hi all,

Couldn't find any answer to this online therefore decided to post here.

I have left from my current (ex) job on 18/9/21 and have submitted an application for a Health and Care Worker visa with a new employer, on the same day. (Previously tier 2 general) I am waiting for biometrics appointment on 15/10/21.

Both jobs are under same SOC code and in shortage occupation list.

My new job don't start until end of November.

Can I do any locum work under the same job at the moment?

This was from decision email of my previous visa:
"supplementary employment, namely work outside your normal working hours for your sponsor of up to 20 hours per week, either in a job on the Shortage Occupation List, or in the same profession and at the same professional level as the job described in your certificate of sponsorship"

You are only able to do 20 hours supplementary employment if you are employed with your main visa sponsor. As you have left your sponsor, you cannot work until the new visa is granted and you start working for your new sponsor.
