Fiance visa - temporary residence card expired

Post by mooongothelegend » Tue Oct 12, 2021 8:59 pm

Good evening,

My fiance will be applying for a uk fiance visa from Poland where she currently resides and work (have done for past 7 years).

Her current Temporary Residence Card expired and she is awaiting decision regarding new one which should hopefully be issued soon.

In her passport she has a stamp saying that application for renewal of TRC has been submitted to local council.

Currently because of covid there is relaxation in TRC laws in Poland and despite her current card being expired she can continue working etc.

My question is: do we have to provide valid Polish TRC for UKVI when applying for fiance/spouse visa? As I can't seem to find any information in official guidelines.

Ideally, we would like to submit her fiance visa application now as we have no idea how long it will take before new TRC arrives, could be months with Covid situation.

Kind regards

Immigration applications can be submitted either from the applicant's country of nationality or from the country of residence.

I doubt if there will be any problems submitting her application from Poland if the circumstances as you outlined them are explained in a cover letter and documented as far as possible.
