Financial Requirement for Spouse Visa

Post by ashycal » Fri Oct 15, 2021 11:39 am

Hi All,

I need some advise please. My kids have British passports and I have an ILR in UK. My wife has a spouse visa via 10 years route and would switch to 5 years route Spouse visa by December 2021. I have lost my employment in August 2020. Now we have noticed that the HO has provided some concession due to covid situation. I refer particularly to the below ..

Changes to the minimum income and adequate maintenance requirement

If you’ve experienced a loss of income due to coronavirus up to 31 October 2021, we will consider employment income for the period immediately before the loss of income, provided the minimum income requirement was met for at least 6 months immediately before the date the income was lost.

(https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus ... -residents)

So does that mean that my employment income before losing the job will be considered even when I apply in Nov 2021 (I can only apply in Nov as the visa expires in Dec 2021) or i need to be in employment in Nov 2021
as a requirement??

I have done a thorough search of the forum to find answers to my question but I couldn't find, so I am posting it as a query.

Thanks in advance.
