My fiancée is currently in the process of applying for her visa to move her so we can marry. On the checklist of things she'll need to take with her, it says "Copy of the bio data page of the passport or travel document for ---ToastedBrit---" and "One proof of British citizenship for ---ToastedBrit--- (such as a passport or
UK citizenship certificate)"
So my question is this: will they actually need me to send my passport and potentially my birth certificate all the way to the US for my fiancée to take to her interview/biometrics appointment in New York, or will me scanning them in suffice? It seems a bit ridiculous to have to send such incredibly sensitive documents 3000 odd miles.
