Hi

My husband has BRP which ends on the 31/03/2022. I was intending on applying for his 2nd 28 days before that one expires.

I'm struggling to find the answer but is it correct we cannot leave the UK for a holiday within the 3 month period before the BRP expires?

No, it is NOT correct. The UK doesn't hold anyone hostage. You are free to travel and return to the UK up to the expiry date if the visa.
