URGENT!!! home office ref num is 9 character but form accepts 8 characters only

I am on Tier 2 general and applying dependent visa for my daughter. In the section "person you are joining or remaining with", it asks for "visa route" and "visa type". From the options in "visa route" I selected "Tier 2 General" under this route the only "visa type" available is "General Partner Up to 5 Years". But I am not on this visa (I am on Tier 2 General). Can someone help me with what visa route and visa type should I chose?

i did some searching and found that Tier 2 General is now being called Skilled Worker Visa (https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa/ ... d-children). So can I select Visa route as "skilled worker" and visa type as "skilled worker 3 year"?
Any help is much appreciated.

Hello,
I am filing tier-2 general dependent visa for my daughter. In the application form there is a section which requires main applicant's (mine) reference number (either home office ref number or VAF or GWF or No, I do not have reference number for them).
From this post indefinite-leave-to-remain/home-office- ... l#p1859472, I understood that home office reference number is BRP number which is 9 characters long (found right top corner of the BRP card), however, application from accepts only 8 characters. Could someone please help me out as which option to select.
