elderly dependant parents

i am planning to apply for dependant status for my elderly parents from india.
i meet all requirements

i am a hospital consultant & financially well off but live in a rented house with 3 bedrooms awaiting a suitable house to buy in present climate.
the rented house is not overcrowded

will the rented house affect my chances?

...ie...should i have bought my own house before applying or can i apply showing the rented house?

If u live on rent u will need permission from your landlord that when they come they can stay there and the contract has to be long term. But what i think is best for u is that u buy ur own house first then apply for your parents it will be quicker...Hope this Helps...

The house is rented from the NHS trust & they have no objection for my parents living with me

The fact that you live in rented accomadation should make no difference to your elderly dependants application.

You have to prove that you can support your dependants without recourse to public funds (that includes for example Council tax that you have to pay whether you own or rent a property) and that there is sufficient space in the house to accomadate your parents, as well as there being no objection from your landlords

So could you please guide me how I could apply my mother VISA as dependent (Family member), which form is applicable?, she is currently in India, but I am working in UK, so could I apply from UK or need to apply from India, what are the documents required, please write me in detail.

Assuming that they are eligible, they should apply for settlement visas from India.
