COS Priority Service

Post by Stephli89 » Tue Nov 02, 2021 3:45 pm

Hi all, I wondered if anyone had any experiences in this.
My current visa is due to expire in about 6 weeks. My HR department have badly handled renewing my visa and they didn't apply for a COS allocation this year. They have made the application a week ago, and paid for the priority service. It has now been 5 business days and no word on the success of the application. We've heard nothing to say it was even denied.

Is an allocation request often denied? And does the priority service ever go beyond the 5 days? Surely they would have to email if the request had been unsuccessful?

If my COS doesn't come through in time, am I able to apply for permission to stay while we wait for this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ask HR to check the status of the application for the undefined CoS allocation on the SMS

Thank you for your response. Apparently there is no status and just says 'Outstanding annual allocation requests' and then the number 1 and date submitted 25/10/2021. I'm not sure if they have requested this correctly?

Nope nothing has come through yet! Company paid priority on afternoon of the 26th October so it has now technically been 7 business days...

When we made the priority application, they also made a change to one of the authorising officers. This change was processed almost immediately and it seems the COS has just been ignored.

there is a £200 fee for both the change of AO and the additional CoS allocation, i.e. they should have paid £400. Have they?
