Hi,
My girlfriend and I have been together for just under two years now. 5 months of that was spent apart but we still kept in contact and maintained our relationship. We are applying for a de facto visa, and I am concerned we don’t meet the 12 month relationship rule.
We have lived together for 15 months, however 7 of those months were living with her parents in her home country. We shared a room but of course I was not supporting her except for our social expenses. The other 8 months we have lived in a shared house, in the same room again and I can prove I paid for rent, bills etc and we share domestic arrangements.
Are they going to dismiss these living arrangements? We are students, sharing accommodation is pretty normal.
Anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks a lot
Andrew
