Hi,
Has anyone tried that before?
I have received my decision letter saying my ILR application has been successful. However I haven’t received my new BRP and am due to travel in 2 days.
I do have an old Tier 2 BRP valid until October 2022.

If your ILR is granted there is no restriction on travel. You may use the BRP to board a plane and use your decision letter to get in

Thank you Zimba.
Won’t they ask for an official document at the border desk?

What matters is your status. They check that in their systems

I see. So there’s no need to present anything at the border desk apart from your passport?

You show your old BRP and explain that your status has changed to ILR.
