ILR on the Basis if LR but what about PBS Dependent

My friend is on Student visa and he has completed 10 years in UK.He fulfils all requirements of ILR on the basis of LR.His wife is PBS dependent and she is working full time. Their current lave is valid until June 2023.
When main applicant will apply for ILR on the basis LR then what is the best advice for PBS dependent .Wife came to UK in 2019.

1- Should she wait for partner ILR then switch to FLR(M)? is there any rule that wife must switch within certain time to FLR(M) or she must make FLM(M) application at same time with partner ?


2- second issue is that wife is earning £24000 from current job which she started 3 months ago. If she applied once main applicant got ILR (hopefully Home Office will take 3-4 months) she would be able to provide 6 months payslips for FLR(M)

what is best advice ?

1. There is no timeframe. She should switch to the family route when he gets ILR. She then needs 5 years under family route to get ILR
