unmarried partners application.

Post by estell47 » Tue Oct 28, 2008 12:56 pm

hi everyone, am new to this forum, i just need your opinion on my immigration matter because i am very anxious! i was an overstayer since 2001, been living with my British partner since 2004, i travelled to uganda on the 27th of august to make an unmarried partners application. i was given an interview on the 15th of oct. Eco was rude and unfriendly, it was a most unpleasant experience, hpowever i explained overstay, she ignored bulk of documents confirming our relationship and our address in uk, saying they were self explanatory! then she accused me of using nhs, because we had also submitted documents showing our ivf treatment(we have embryos in storage at homerton hospital)! at this point she said it was out of her hands, that she was reffering application to home office! she also wanted to know if we had withdrawn an application we made in 2006 to the home office outside the rules! i thought this was ridiculouse as i had included copy ofwithrawal letter that i sent to home office, old letters from lawyer to the home office, and their reply saying case still under consideration! also exit control at heathrow documented lots of stuff when i left!! i am still waiting for result, please advice, thanks in advance!!

at this point she said it was out of her hands, that she was reffering application to home office!
My understanding is that when someone has overstayed then it is not unusual for the application to be referred to the Home Office in the UK.

Hopefully you will not need to wait too long for the decision, and again hopefully, hopefully the visa will be granted. Do let us know.
