Visit visa documents

Hi,

I have applied for visit visa for my parents earlier this week and they will be attending the biometrics appointment next week.

As part of the required documents, I need to prove close ties to country. I have an elder brother who lives with my parents and both my parents also have their siblings in India. How do I prove this as close ties to home country? They are also also providing all the movable and immovable assets documents.

Secondly I am a British citizen and unlike Indian passport, the British one does not have parents names stated on the passport. How do I prove parents-son relation ? Will a copy of OCI suffice?

It will be really helpful if someone can answer the above.

It is tour parents who are the prospective visitors that need to prove close ties to home country. Evidence of their income or pension, business, family in home country, property documents etc.

Documents that shows their names tie-in to yours e.g. birth certificate. If the OCI shows the ties then no reason why it can not be used.

Apologies AmazonianX, I should have made it more clearer. I meant my parents' need to prove close ties with India. How do they prove 'family in own country'? Does a cover letter suffice listing some names of the family members or do they need to attach the family members identity proofs as well.

My parents are submitting property documents, fixed deposits in bank as well.

Apologies AmazonianX, I should have made it more clearer. I meant my parents' need to prove close ties with India. How do they prove 'family in own country'? Does a cover letter suffice listing some names of the family members or do they need to attach the family members identity proofs as well. Besides cover letter, evidence of such where possible like the ones you stated above willd be good.
